Some fun pictures and highlights so you can get to know me and The Caregiving Corner better! :)

I got married during the pandemic and it was epic on 4.20.2020!! :) My spouse has 4 kids, so it was an instant family for me!

This was our last family picture with our Dad & Papa... he passed in April 2023. I was with him and our family and was able to care for him his last few months

My spouse Jamee and the Mitchell clan! So grateful to be a part of an amazing fun family!

Always doing what I can to spread the love for Caregivers!

Compliment from a client I worked with

Our Whole Family! June 2016

My dear surrogate grandpa, Richard... he passed in August 2017. I miss him dearly! He was so smart and funny and witty! He was a Veteran and lived a full life till age 95!

I wouldn't be here without these 2 amazing, loving, kind women... I get my compassion, wit and kindness from them!

Our family was a Host Family to the most adorable and fun exchange student from Japan! Natsuko stayed with us from Aug 2015 to June 2016 and was a Sophomore at our local High School. I was her Surrogate American Mom and we have a special bond! We had an adventurous year together and we miss her lots!! We still keep in touch!

My spouse and I went on a cruise out of Miami to The Bahamas in May... It was a cruise that Lindsey Stirling put on and she had a lot of entertainment and a few celebrities. One being Derek Hough from Dancing with the Stars!! It was so amazing and awesome to meet him! Jamee gave me a cutout of Derek for my birthday this past February, so it was funny that we folded it up, put it in our suitcase and Derek signed it for me! Such an incredible experience and trip of a lifetime!! *so far!! ;)

We got an RV in the summer of 2020 and that was the perfect way to go see the world that was kind of shutdown! We love the beach and adventure and have been on many roads trips in our, "Big Bertha!" :)

Jamee and I went to Jr. High and High School together. A lot happened for both of us for 30 years and we reconnected after our HS reunion in June of 2019. We went on an amazing vacation with friends to Nicaragua, and Panama in November of 2019 and got engaged while there! It has been a wild adventure ever since!

I met Cleo at my Grandma's Care Center and she became a surrogate Grandma too! She passed in 2016 and had Dementia :( She was funny and I still treasure our visits!

This was from a family I cared for in Mesa, Arizona in 2011. I feel I was in the right place at the right time to be there for them before the man passed away just a few months after I started with them. He had many health issues and stayed positive throughout and was grateful for my help! His wife had dementia and she passed in 2012. Sweet couple I was grateful I could help!

This is my friend Andrew. I have known him for a few years and I worked with him PT every week. We would go swimming, bowling, out to lunch and found different activities to do! He sure loves going out to eat! :) He is a funny and smart guy!

This is my dear Uncle Lenzi who passed in 2015. He is my Grandma A's brother and he called himself the "black sheep of the family" but he had a heart of gold and we had a special bond and he always called to check on me and Grams! He cared for his dear wife who had Alzheimer's for years and at times she didn't know who he was, but he knew and loved her and they had a beautiful relationship! She has passed too! Miss them a lot!

I miss my dear sweet Grandma so much! She was a widow for 18 years and took such good care of herself and she called me her, "Granny Nanny!" We had a deep special bond that I have never had with anyone and she was my biggest cheerleader and support!! She has been gone since Oct 2013 and I miss her every single day! Everything I do I still want to make her proud and just spread the love I have for her around to everyone I meet!

I took care of a family in Park City, Utah. The man had Alzheimer's and he was my main care over the summer, as his wife fell and broke her ankle and we would visit her everyday in a rehab center. It was a short job, as the daughter moved her parents to Assisted Living. I was grateful to have helped them and know them!
I had been a board member for "The Utah Coalition for Caregiver Support" for a little over 4 years, before I moved to St. George, Utah.
I still keep in touch with them and what they are doing in the Salt Lake City area.
Their mission is creating awareness of Caregiving issues and improving the quality of life for Caregivers and care recipients through advocacy, information, support, and access to resources.
Serving the Community... a few highlights
"Senior Contributions" was a new Non-Profit in the Salt Lake City area. I was on the board, for 3 years before moving to St. George, Utah.
They were teamed up with some Participating Restaurants in Salt Lake, and as the Community eats out at these restaurants, a percentage of the money from their meals goes back to Senior Contributions, and 100% of the money raised goes back to Underfunded Programs to support Seniors in Utah.
*Unfortunately after 2020, they had to shut down.
Wherever I can help and serve and give back, it's just what I do and love!!
I was able to help a dear friend out about 8 years ago, as she went through an unbelievable tragedy. With the help from her brother, we were able to get the word out on the news stations and bring our Community together in helping with this Fundraiser!
It was truly a humbling and amazing experience as we all came together in support and love! #lovewins
